Teams

A Findip team subscription is seat-based. There is no shared API key and no shared account for the whole team. Each member connects to the same MCP URL with their own Findip account, and search usage is drawn from their own seat.

So the only thing a team admin hands out is the single URL below. Everything else each member does with their own login.

Shared MCP URL

Every member uses this same URL. There is no per-team URL and no separate key to issue.

A Findip team subscription is not the same as a Claude or ChatGPT Team plan

These two are easy to confuse, so let's separate them first.

A Findip team subscription is a contract for Findip search seats. Seat count, search limits, and member invitations are all decided here.

Claude's Team and Enterprise plans and ChatGPT's Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans are separate products sold by Anthropic and OpenAI. The "Team and Enterprise plans" section in the Claude connection guide is about the Anthropic plan, not about a Findip team subscription.

Neither one requires the other. You can be on Claude's Free plan and hold a Findip team seat, or be on Claude Enterprise with a personal Findip subscription.

What the team admin does

1

Buy seats

On the pricing page, purchase Team Basic or Team Pro with the number of seats you need. Whoever pays becomes the team admin, and each team has exactly one.

2

Invite members

In the dashboard, go to Team → Members, enter the person's email, and click Invite. An invitation email goes out and one seat is reserved for that invitation.

Pending invitations can be resent or canceled from the same screen. If no seat is free, you cannot create a new invitation — add seats first.

3

Add or remove seats

Use the team contract change panel on the Team → Billing tab to increase or decrease the seat count. Plan changes happen in the same place.

Removing a member releases their seat so it can be used for the next invitation. Releasing a seat and reducing the contracted seat count are two different things — to pay for fewer seats, complete the contract change as well.

What each member does

Accept the invitation before you connect

Finish steps 1–4 below before connecting Findip in Claude or ChatGPT. Accepting the invitation is what attaches the team seat to your account.

1

Open the invitation email

Open the link in the invitation email from your team admin. The invitation can only be accepted by the account that owns the invited email address.

2

Sign in to Findip

Sign in with your Findip account. If you do not have one yet, you can sign up from the same screen — use the exact email address the invitation was sent to.

3

Verify your email

The invitation screen only shows the Accept button to accounts with a verified email. If yours is not verified yet, you will see a verification notice instead of the button — request the verification email from the Settings screen, complete it, then return to the invitation link.

4

Accept the invitation

Clicking Accept assigns your seat and takes you to the dashboard. From that point your search limit comes from the team seat.

If you already have a personal paid subscription, this screen also shows a notice about it. Choosing schedule cancellation and join schedules your personal subscription to end at the end of its period, and you keep using it until then.

5

Connect your AI tool

Once you have a seat, follow the guide for the tool you use — the Claude connection guide or the ChatGPT connection guide. When you connect, sign in with the same Findip account that accepted the team invitation.

Seats and search limits

Limits are applied per seat. There is no single pool the whole team draws from.

  • Heavy use by one member does not reduce what any other member has left.
  • The team total on Team → Overview is a report figure. It is not what usage is deducted from.
  • A single contract can mix seats on different plans, in which case each seat carries its own limit.
  • Limits reset on the team billing cycle (Korea Standard Time), not on the date each member joined.

Check your own usage on the dashboard Usage screen. Team-wide usage is visible to the team admin only, on Team → Overview.

Two things worth adding.

First, a team admin cannot connect on a member's behalf. Registering the connector and signing in to Findip both happen in the member's own account.

Second, there is no way to promote a member to admin. The only roles are member and team admin, and the team admin role moves to someone else only through a team admin transfer.

Rolling it out organization-wide

For larger teams, the connector registration itself can be handled once at the organization level. Either way, each member signs in to Findip individually.

Claude Team and Enterprise

The organization Owner registers Findip once under Organization settings → Connectors. After that, members open Customize → Connectors, find Findip on the Not connected tab, click Connect, and sign in with their own Findip account. The full steps are in the Claude connection guide.

ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu

On all three plans, members can only connect the apps their admin has enabled. Members can browse the app directory, but they can connect only to apps a workspace admin has enabled under Workspace settings → Apps & connectors. The one difference is the default for the app feature itself: on Business it is on, while on Enterprise and Edu it is off, so an admin has to turn that feature on first. See the ChatGPT connection guide for the steps.

Managing connections

Connected apps are listed on the dashboard Connected apps screen, where you can also disconnect them. It shows which app connected, when, and when it was last used; Disconnect removes that app's access to Findip. You can reconnect from the app at any time.

Removing a member from a team releases the seat. The account itself remains, so if you want to clean up connections, disconnect them from that same screen.

Common questions

Can we share one team key?

No. Findip does not issue a shared team API key or shared account. Members connecting with their own Findip accounts is the only supported setup, and it is what makes per-seat usage accurate.

I have a personal subscription — how do I join a team?

The invitation screen shows a notice about your personal subscription. Choose schedule cancellation and join: your personal subscription is scheduled to end at the end of its period and your seat is assigned immediately. Nothing more is charged for the remaining period.

Another member used up the limit.

Another member's usage does not affect yours. Limits apply per seat, and the total on the team screen is a report figure. Check what you have left on the dashboard Usage screen.

A member says they cannot add the connector.

That is a restriction on the AI tool's plan, unrelated to the Findip team seat. Claude Team and Enterprise require the organization Owner to register the connector first, and ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, and Edu require a workspace admin to enable the app under Apps & connectors before members can connect it. See Rolling it out organization-wide above.

What happens to my connections if I leave the team?

The seat is released and the seat-based search limit no longer applies. The connector you registered in your AI tool stays in place, so remove it from the dashboard Connected apps screen or from that tool's connector settings.

The invitation email never arrived.

Check the spam folder first. If it is not there, the team admin can send a fresh link with Resend invitation from the pending invitations list under Team → Members. Invitation links expire, so an expired one has to be resent.
