Team setup
Everything you need to know before several people use Findip together: what a seat is, how invitations and acceptance work, how search credits differ from a personal subscription, and where the team admin does what.
Connecting the AI tools themselves is the next step. For the click-by-click screens in Claude and ChatGPT, go to Connect with a team seat.
A Findip team is not the same as an AI tool's team plan
The team in this document is a contract for Findip search seats. Claude's Team and Enterprise plans, sold by Anthropic, and ChatGPT's Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans, sold by OpenAI, are separate products with no bearing on this. Neither one requires the other — you can be on Claude's free plan and still hold a Findip team seat.
A team subscription is sold by the seat
There are two team plans, Team Basic and Team Pro, and you buy a number of seats. Purchases made directly from the pricing page start at two seats. If only one person will use it, a personal subscription is the right fit.
Seats belong to people. There is no shared account and no shared API key for the team. Every member signs in with their own Findip account, and search credits are drawn from their own seat.
- One seat holds one account.
- Sending an invitation reserves one seat for it. With no free seat, you cannot create a new invitation.
- Removing a member releases their seat for the next invitation.
- Seats within one contract may sit at different tiers, in which case the per-seat credit limit differs too.
For larger seat counts or non-standard contract terms, reach us through the contact page. Prices and per-seat credits live on the pricing page, and the purchase process is covered in Paid plans.
There are two roles
A team has only members and a team admin. Each team has exactly one team admin, and that is whoever paid for the seats.
There is no way to promote a member to admin. To hand the role to someone else, use team admin transfer.

A tour of the team screen
Open Team in the dashboard's left menu and you get three tabs. Members see only Overview; the other two open for the team admin.
Overview
Plan, seat status, your role, and your own credit usage. The team admin also sees the team usage report here.
Members
Invite people and manage active members and pending invitations. Resend invitation, cancel invitation, and remove member all live here.
Contract
Change the seat count, change plan, change the team payment card, cancel, and transfer the team admin role.
Receipts and payment history are on the Billing screen in the left menu. Members see a note there saying the team admin handles payment instead.
Team admin — inviting members
Buy the seats
On the pricing page, purchase Team Basic or Team Pro with the seat count you need. Whoever pays becomes the team admin.
Send the invitation
In the dashboard Team screen, open the Members tab, enter the person's email address, and click Invite. An invitation email goes out and one seat is reserved for it.
With no free seat you cannot create a new invitation — add seats on the Contract tab first.
Manage pending invitations
The Pending invitations list on the same screen offers Resend invitation and Cancel invitation. An invitation link is valid for 7 days from the day it is sent; once it expires, send a new one.
If someone says the email never arrived, have them check their spam folder first, then use Resend invitation to issue a fresh link.
Add or remove seats
Change the seat count on the Contract tab. Plan changes happen in the same place.
Removing a member and reducing seats are two different things. Removing a member only frees the seat for the next invitation; the contracted seat count stays as it was. To lower the amount you are billed, complete the contract change too.
Member — accepting the invitation
Accept the invitation before you connect
Finish the steps below before you connect Findip in Claude or ChatGPT. Accepting the invitation is what attaches the seat to your account and puts you on team-seat search credits.
Open the invitation email
Open the link in the invitation email from your team admin. It can only be accepted by the account that owns the invited email address.
Sign in to Findip
Sign in with your Findip account, or sign up from the same screen if you do not have one — using the exact email address the invitation was sent to. Signing up with a different address means the invitation and the account will not match, and acceptance fails.
Verify your email
The invitation screen shows the Accept invitation button only to accounts with a verified email. If yours is not verified yet, a verification notice appears in its place and you can request a fresh verification email right there. Once you verify, the same screen re-renders with the Accept invitation button, so there is no need to open the invitation link again.
Accept
Click Accept invitation and the seat is assigned. An account that already belongs to another team cannot accept.
If you hold a paid personal subscription, a notice appears on this screen as well. Choosing Schedule cancellation and join now schedules your personal subscription to end at the close of its period while the seat is assigned immediately. You keep the remaining period and there is no further charge.
Search credits are enforced per seat
This is the biggest difference from a personal subscription. There is no single pool of credits that the team shares.
- Credits apply per seat. Heavy use by one person does not reduce anyone else's remaining credits.
- The team usage report on the team screen is an aggregate for reporting. It is not what gets drawn down.
- In a contract with mixed seat tiers, the credit limit can differ from seat to seat.
- Credits reset on the team billing cycle — the team contract's cycle, not the date a member joined — at midnight Korea time (KST).
- Unused credits do not carry over to the next cycle.
Check your own remaining credits on the dashboard Overview screen. Usage for the whole team is visible only to the team admin, on the team screen's Overview tab.
Leaving a team, or removing a member
A member can use Leave team on the team screen, and the team admin can remove people from the Members tab. The team admin cannot leave directly and has to transfer the role first.
Either way the seat is released and that account no longer runs on team-seat credits. The account itself remains. Connectors registered in AI tools also remain, so disconnect them yourself from the Connected apps screen if you want them cleared.

Common problems
Can we share one team key?
No. There is no shared team API key and no shared account. Each member using their own Findip account is the only supported arrangement, and it is what makes per-seat usage accounting accurate.
The invitation screen shows no Accept button.
That account's email is not verified yet. Request a fresh verification email from the notice shown in place of the button, complete verification, and the accept button appears on the same screen.
I signed up with a different address.
An invitation is only accepted by the account that owns the invited address. Either sign up again with that address, or ask your team admin to reissue the invitation to the address you actually use.
I removed a member but the bill is unchanged.
Removing a member frees the seat without reducing the contracted seat count. Complete a contract change on the Contract tab to lower the seat count.
