1. Purpose
These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between LeeonIPL (the "Company") and users in connection with the use of the FindIP service (the "Service") provided by the Company.
2. Definitions
- "Service" means the FindIP patent-search API and related web services provided by the Company.
- "User" means any person who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
- "API key" means the unique authentication credential issued for use of the Service.
- "Paid Service" means a paid feature provided by the Company.
3. Effect and Modification of the Terms
- These Terms take effect upon being posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to users.
- The Company may modify these Terms within the scope permitted by applicable law, and any modifications will be announced at least 7 days before the effective date.
4. Provision of the Service
- The Company provides the following services.
- Semantic patent search API
- Patent details and drawings API
- Patent landscape and analytics API
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) server integration
- API key management and usage dashboard
- The Service is provided 24 hours a day, year round, in principle. However, it may be temporarily suspended for system maintenance or other reasons.
5. Formation of the Service Agreement
- The service agreement is formed when the user completes registration.
- The Company may refuse a registration request in any of the following cases.
- When another person's identity is used
- When false information is entered
- When the request would otherwise interfere with service operation
6. Fees and Payment
- Fees for the Paid Service are posted on the pricing page within the Service.
- Fees are charged on a monthly subscription basis. Posted prices include applicable Value Added Tax (VAT) or sales tax. Exchange rates and tax rates at the time of payment may apply depending on the user's country of residence.
- Payment for the Service is processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (UK; "Paddle") as the Merchant of Record. Card payments, billing, tax (VAT/sales tax) reporting, invoice issuance, and refund processing are carried out through Paddle, and the Paddle Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply to payment-related matters.
- API call counts: search (
/api/v1/search/semantic) counts as 1 call, analytics (/api/v1/search/semantic-analytics) counts as 2. Detail lookups (/api/v1/patents/details), drawings (/api/v1/drawings), document fetch (/api/documents/{publication_id}), and MCP resource fetches do not count. - Call quotas reset monthly based on the billing date. When the quota is exceeded, search calls are restricted until the next reset.
7. Refund Policy
- Refund requests within 7 days of payment may be granted depending on usage history. Refund requests should be sent to contact@findip.ai.
- When a subscription is canceled, the Service remains usable until the next billing date; no separate refund is issued for the remaining period.
- If a payment failure is not resolved within 14 days, the subscription is automatically canceled and is not eligible for a refund.

8. User Obligations
- Users must keep their API keys secure and must not share them with third parties.
- Users must not use the Service for any unlawful activity.
- Users must not interfere with service operation through excessive API calls.
9. Restrictions on Service Use
The Company may restrict service use in any of the following cases.
- Continuous violation of the rate limit (60 calls per minute)
- Use of the Service in an abnormal manner
- Unauthorized use of another person's API key
- Interference with the stable operation of the Service
10. Disclaimers
- The Company is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure or other events beyond its reasonable control.
- The Company does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of information obtained by users through the Service.
- Patent data is for reference only and may not be used as the basis for legal judgment.
11. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes regarding these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Disputes arising in connection with use of the Service are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.
These Terms take effect from May 9, 2026.
